Black Clay Bowl
This clay bowl is hand made using local stone powders and then fired with wood in a brick oven. Then burnished which is an ancient technique of polishing with a hard stone. This then closes the pores of the clay making it watertight and creates an unique shine and texture without glaze… and very good insulator too. They are truly beautiful and very unique. A very special collection.
And if they do break, due to the natural production, each piece degrades and returns to the earth. I adore them xxx
